Pakistan defeated Namibia on Tuesday evening to maintain its unbeaten record in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The winning streak has already piqued the interest of the cricketing world, with many declaring Pakistan the team to beat.
The green shirt’s gesture following their victory over Namibia, on the other hand, has warmed the hearts of many fans.
The men in green, accompanied by an official, paid a visit to the Namibia dressing room to thank them for their efforts during the tournament.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) tweeted a video of players and an official walking into the Namibian dressing room following the match.
Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Hafeez, Hasan Ali, Fakhar Zaman, and Shadab Khan can be seen conversing with the players in the video.
Namibia Cricket’s social media account reacted to the surprise visit as soon as the video was uploaded.
“What a thoughtful gesture by PCB. “It was an honor to play against the best,” Namibia Cricket tweeted. Namibia’s Assistant Coach Albie Morkel praised the gesture as well. Thank you for taking the time to stop by our locker room. “The Namibians had a great time playing against you,” the former South African great said.
